I've Got to Do, What I've Got to Do

“I've got to do what I've got to do” says Robin Williams’ character Daniel Hillard in Mrs. Doubtfire, as he quits the recording studio. The scene was playing in my mind, as I was walking out the door of the Wellness Body and Spa, the clinic, where I worked as a Massage Therapist for the last year.

In professional sports, I would now be called a free agent. Although I left the Wellness Body and Spa, I only have good things to say about the company. My intention was to stay there indefinitely, but sometimes circumstances are stronger than us.

Working there was fun, I met a lot of good people, and the owner, Jenna Kuhlen is a true one of a kind. Thanks, Jenna, and thanks to all your staff. It was a great year.

I don’t expect to be a free agent for long. Maybe tomorrow, maybe in three months, I will start again at another clinic, and as soon as I settle down, I will post it here. For those of you who enjoyed my massages, nothing will change. The walls might be different, and the massage table, but it will still be me, my scrubs with the name stitched on them, my hands, and my total commitment to you, my clients.

Enjoy the summer, and see you soon.
